Jimmy Ross

Jimmy has shared the stage with Frances for the better part of 30 years . Their travels have taken them through many North Eastern states and all the way to Canada . Jimmy along with Frances and their first band of the 70's, "The Bluegrass Generation", released 4 recordings on the "Atteiram" label.  Ricky Skaggs helped produce and sing on the last two albums, even played fiddle on some cuts. Vince Gill was also on the last LP along with Ricky, adding vocals, guitar and pedal steel on some of the songs.

 

Around 1975 each member of The Bluegrass Generation became a "Kentucky Colonel" they were awarded certificates.  

 

Around 1976 he found his way back to Georgia where a few years later again, he joined with Frances and Steve in the "Indian Summer Band".  The highlight of his music career with Indian Summer was a trip to perform bluegrass music in Shanghi, China.

 

After a few years off, Jimmy has made his way back to pursue his music career joining up with "Fontanna Sunset" where again; he shares the stage with Frances, Steve, Ronnie "Termite" and Mark.

 

Jimmy adds his own unique style which compliments each and every song that they perform.

Also, Jimmy adds his superb baritone vocal to certain songs throughout the show.  He's sometime called "Mr. Excitement: on the Stage!!!
